| It is my great pleasure to inform that the well known
researcher and historian Nelson Gerrard in Arborg, Manitoba,
Canada, has chosen my Website to announce to you the great work Gimlunga
Saga, a three-volume illustrated history of Gimli and the historical
Vidirnes Settlement in Manitoba, from its inception in 1875 to the
present.
The links below will give you in first hand, detailed information on
this fantastic work, secondly, a list of the Icelandic settlers he wants
you to look at to see if you could submit information and photos for the
family histories to be included in the work.
Thirdly, as I am myself slowly building up a database of Icelandic
settlers in all of North America, I have with Mr. Gerrard's permission,
copied the lists of settlers he provided, to that database. As the
database becomes more comprehensive, you will be even more able to
identify the settlers.
